The BTU is a young university that is actively helping to shape the structural change in Lusatia to phase out lignite and is providing scientific support for transformation processes in many ways. PROFESSORSHIP Construction Engineering and
commencing at the earliest opportunity.
The professorship is part of the Institute for Civil Engineering.
A special focus is placed on innovative research in the field of digitalisation of construction. Active participation in research activities that are as interdisciplinary as possible is expected. Participation in the structural change in Lusatia, professional involvement in the design and scientific support of associated transformation processes are expressly desired, as is participation in experimental research at the Research and Materials Testing Institute (FMPA) belonging to the faculty.
The courses in the bachelor's and master's degree programmes are to be held in German and English.
The willingness to participate in academic self-administration and in profiling the faculty is required. In leading position English-language courses are to be developed and coordinated.
Other duties result from the requirements set by § 42 Brandenburgisches Hochschulgesetz (Higher Education Act of the State of Brandenburg - BbgHG) in conjunction with § 3 BbgHG.
We are looking for a nationally and internationally recognized personality with experience in the fields of building industries, building management and construction, proven through work in research, teaching and practice. The professor should represent the named areas in research and teaching.
Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding and in the implementation of third-party funded projects is expected. The research topics should be relevant for the DFG or comparable international research funding institutions.
