Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Research in the framework of a DFG-funded project in the field of Automated Driving in collaboration with the Department of Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Ergonomics. The project aims to investigate drivers’ behavior, performance and workload when switching from automated to manual driving, especially during highly dynamic maneuvers, and to develop driver assistance functions to support the driver during the handover situation.
This includes the following tasks:
Develop a driver interference assistance demonstrator
Develop a concept to estimate grip utilization
Develop a concept to validate studies performed in a driving simulator using a test vehicle
Supervise and provide guidance to a student assistant
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related studies
Good knowledge in the fields of Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering, and in Modeling and Simulation (Matlab/Simulink) is desirable
Experience in conducting tests in driving simulators or with test vehicles is an advantage
Very good German language skills, both oral and written
Good English language skills
