Work­ing field:

Suc­cess­ful can­did­ates will research means and approaches to make the Phys­ical Inter­net a real­ity. This com­prises a com­pre­hens­ive ana­lysis of cur­rent approaches as well as the devel­op­ment of a prob­lem-spe­cific rout­ing solu­tion. The prob­lem-spe­cific solu­tion will be eval­u­ated and assessed through sim­u­la­tion. When appro­pri­ate, dif­fer­ent solu­tions have to be com­pared.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­ful can­did­ates have to be famil­iar with the multi-agent sys­tem approach since we expect a solu­tion, which is based on multi-agent tech­no­logy. Know­ledge of the REST par­digm and in the field of machine learn­ing thech­niques are man­dat­ory as well. Prac­tical exper­i­ences in multi-agent frame­works and agent-ori­ented soft­ware engin­eer­ing are would be an advant­age. We expect flu­ent Ger­man and Eng­lish know­ledge in word and writ­ing.
