Devel­op­ment Engin­eer (m/f) Seal­ing Applic­a­tions and Tech­no­lo­gies

Work­ing field:

The Devel­op­ment Engin­eer Seal­ing Applic­a­tion and Tech­no­lo­gies will innov­ate and develop new seal­ing solu­tions and improve exist­ing applic­a­tions for tele­com­mu­nic­a­tion products, to turn them into state-of-the-art products deliv­er­able to the cus­tomer.

Area of Applic­a­tion

Provide design solu­tions for seal­ing applic­a­tions in vari­ous com­bin­a­tions, mol­ded plastic parts, metal com­pon­ents and oth­ers, accord­ing to cus­tomer require­ments.
Drive the global col­lab­or­a­tion with internal and external part­ners on seal­ing applic­a­tion design, test­ing, and mod­el­ing and sim­u­la­tion.
Ana­lyze cur­rent designs and design con­cepts with sens­it­iv­ity and tol­er­ance ana­lysis, identify design risks with fail­ure mode ana­lysis and provide reli­able solu­tions using advanced prob­lem solv­ing and ana­lyt­ical tech­niques to design for man­u­fac­tur­ing.
Wide mater­ial know­ledge and their pro­cessing to recom­mend suit­able mater­i­als for seal­ing com­pon­ents and cor­rel­at­ing com­pon­ents.
Exper­i­ence in required mater­ial and envir­on­mental test­ing pro­ced­ures and how to prac­tice them.
Con­sider mar­ket pos­i­tion of com­pet­it­ors, ana­lyz­ing products and pat­ents.


Required Qual­i­fic­a­tion

Uni­versity (of applied sci­ences) degree of Mech­an­ical Engin­eer­ing or Mater­ial Sci­ence
At least 3 years’ exper­i­ence in the design of seal­ing sys­tems and its com­pon­ents (mol­ded / extruded) with 3D CAD pack­age.
Demon­strated abil­ity to solve chal­len­ging tech­nical prob­lems by devel­op­ing cre­at­ive designs and solu­tions with an under­stand­ing of the under­ly­ing engin­eer­ing prin­ciples.
Pro­found under­stand­ing of mater­ial prop­er­ties, cap­ab­il­it­ies and applies in prac­tice.
Desired Skills:
Famili­ar­ity of mold­ing, extru­sion and bond­ing pro­cesses.
Work­ing know­ledge of Creo and Wind­chill.
Abil­ity to work on mul­tiple pro­jects sim­ul­tan­eously.
Famili­ar­ity with the pro­cesses of pat­ent research and pat­ent applic­a­tions.
