Research Assistant - permanent position acc. to MAVO - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner

Within the scope of the innovation campaign 2010-2016 of the state of Berlin, a position as a research assistant at the Technische Universität Berlin at the Department of Building Materials and Construction Chemistry is to be filled. The tasks of the research includes support and independent implementation of research projects in the department, support and further scientific development of analysis facilities and research tools and the support in the acquisition of third party funds. In addition, the coordination of national and international research projects as well as cooperation with industrial partners are among the tasks. The research results should be published internationally and should be presented at national and international conferences and workshops and should be summarized in report form. In addition, the participation in lectures with an amount of 8 hours per week as well as the supervision of students in the context of final thesis is part of the Tasks.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in materials science, mineralogy, chemistry or related disciplines; minimum three years of experience in a regular academic or industrial position; in-depth knowledge in the field of building materials and building chemical additives is a prerequisite; extensive experience in the field of scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry and light microscopy is mandatory and solid knowledge of further analytical methods is advantageous; intensive experience in the field of hydration of inorganic binders is desirable; good knowledge of German and English; high motivation and ability to work independently; applicants should state their experiences with analytical methods, experience in the research field of building materials and construction chemistry and should include list of publications.
