Research Assist­ant - 0.8 work­ing time - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD)

Work­ing field:

We are look­ing for a highly motiv­ated PhD stu­dent to inde­pend­ently teach courses in Ger­man and Eng­lish and to super­vise theses on top­ics rel­ev­ant to the activ­it­ies of the Chair; to par­ti­cip­ate in the activ­it­ies of the Chair, in par­tic­u­lar by act­ively con­trib­ut­ing to the devel­op­ment of research pro­jects and to the inter­na­tion­al­isa­tion of research and teach­ing; to present their research res­ults at inter­na­tional con­fer­ences and in inter­na­tional peer-reviewed journ­als; to per­form admin­is­trat­ive tasks related to research and teach­ing; to enter an agree­ment on the object­ives and tar­gets of col­lab­or­a­tion at the Chair.


Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) prefer­ably in Urban and Regional Plan­ning, Human Geo­graphy, or a Social Sci­ences dis­cip­line with an urban and regional stud­ies ori­ent­a­tion; demon­strable exper­i­ence in urban and regional research is of advant­age; good work­ing know­ledge of the Eng­lish and Ger­man lan­guage; work­ing know­ledge of fur­ther lan­guages is of advant­age; demon­strable interest in research issues rel­ev­ant to the activ­it­ies of the Chair of Plan­ning The­ory, to be stated in a draft pro­posal for their own PhD research.
