Research Assist­ant-PostDoc - salary grade E 14 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

under the reserve that funds are gran­ted - part-time employ­ment may be pos­sible

Work­ing field:

  • Inde­pend­ent research in robot per­cep­tion (visual and haptic mod­al­it­ies), and in beha­vior gen­er­a­tion for socially com­pet­ent robots (pro­ject MTI-engAge)
  • Con­struc­tion, main­ten­ance and exten­sion of demon­strat­ors/pro­to­types, both hard­ware and soft­ware.
  • Super­vi­sion and coordin­a­tion of the Robot­ics-related group mem­bers (two tech­incal assist­ants, one PhD can­did­ate, two part-time stu­dent assist­ants)
  • Acquis­i­tion of third-party fund­ing, com­mu­nic­a­tion of research res­ults to part­ners, research field and the pub­lic

Require­ments:

  • Fin­ished PhD (Pro­mo­tion) is required, pre­fer­rably in com­puter sci­ence or engin­eer­ing
  • Know­ledge in build­ing and pro­gram­ming of robots or embed­ded sys­tems are required
  • Pro­gram­ming skills in Python or C++, and know­ledge in machine learn­ing and per­cep­tion algorithms are desired
  • Com­puter aided desing skills are wel­come
  • Know­ledge and exper­i­ence in acquir­ing fund­ing is wel­come
