We are seeking reinforcement for our working group 'Neurotechnology', which provides teaching and conducts research at the interface of computer science, in particular machine learning, and neuroscience.
The specific tasks for the vacancy are:
independent organization of the tutorials for Bachelor courses in computer science (such as design and implementation of exercises; briefings of tutors; organization of examinations);
teaching in Master programs; supervision of Bachelor and Master theses; taking care of the EEG laboratories
research in neurotechnology, especially in the development of algorithms based on machine learning;
writing articles in journals and preparing project reports; presentations at international conferences;
Cooperation with international partners; supporting the recruitment of third-party funding
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computational Neuroscience or a related field. A sound knowledge of computer science,
and in particular algorithms is a prerequisite. Programming experience in Java is desirable. The willingness and ability for interdisciplinary work in the international team is expected.
Applicants with extensive programming experience in data analysis with Matlab or Python are preferred.
The German language (Bachelor's courses are tought in German) must be fluent in conversation and writing (level C2).
