The expansion of the Internet into the physical world (Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Systems) requires the integration of many areas of research, such as: Web technologies, distributed systems, database systems, networks and sensor networks. The Department of Open Distributed Systems (ODS) is dedicated to the development of scalable technologies and platforms for this area, with special emphasis on Semantic Web and Linked Data technologies for power data processing. Thereby, a multitude of interesting open research questions have to be solved in order to enable simple distributed scalable data management with simultaneous network efficiency.
Currently we are looking for a scientist to work and research on exciting scientific questions in this field. The successful candidate will conduct research in an interesting and inspiring group. The opportunity for PhD thesis preparation is given.
