Work­ing field:

  • Research mainly within the DFG fun­ded pro­ject Match­ing under Pref­er­ences: Mul­timodal Views and Domain Restric­tions (MaMu).
  • Research on algorithms for the Mul­timodal Stable Match­ing Prob­lem, incl. research on its numer­ous applic­a­tions
  • Inter­na­tional cooper­a­tion with other uni­versit­ies, in par­tic­u­lar with the uni­versit­ies in Prague in order to build a research bridge Ber­lin - Prague
  • Pub­lic­a­tions of research res­ults
  • Act­ive par­ti­cip­a­tion in grant pro­posal writ­ing


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and doc­toral grade in Com­puter Sci­ence, Math­em­at­ics or a related field
  • Exper­i­ence in the fol­low­ing areas is com­puls­ory: design and ana­lysis of algorithms, com­pu­ta­tional com­plex­ity, algorithmic graph the­ory, para­met­er­ized algorithmics
  • Exper­i­ence in the fol­low­ing areas is prefer­able: data reduc­tion and prob­lem ker­nels, dis­crete meth­ods, algorithm engin­eer­ing
  • Pro­fi­ciency in writ­ing and speak­ing Eng­lish
