In close cooperation with a R&D team of the industrial partner, aspects of the geometric modeling of garments, modeling of material properties, numerical simulation of deformation as well as the realistic depiction of textiles and visualization of fit properties will be worked on at ZIB. The task of the present position is the visualization of simulated garments and fit-properties; this includes the
  • evaluation of various open source frameworks for high-quality rendering,
  • implementation of methods for photorealistic rendering of simulated clothing on given anatomies utilizing photographed textures and empirically determined optical properties,
  • and the development of new methods for the visualization of fitting properties.

We expect communication and teamwork skills, creativity, as well as a high degree of independence and commitment.
