IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and ultra-high frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. IHP employs approximately 330 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 μm BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.
Scientist (m/f) Millimeter-Wave/THz IC Design
Work within the mm-wave wireless group on state-of-the-art mm-wave to sub-THz integrated circuits for biosensing and measurement applications
Participate in a prestigious priority program of the German Research Foundation (SPP ESSENCE)
Research focus on high-frequency design using leading edge SiGe BiCMOS technologies
A PhD degree can be pursued and will be encouraged
Master degree in electrical engineering or physics
Experience in the field of microwave/mm-wave/ THz integrated circuit design
Knowledge in EM simulation tools like HFSS, CST, Sonnet, ADS or other similar tools
Highly motivated with very good experimental and theoretical skills
Very good oral and written skills in English
