Research Assistant - 0.5 working time - salary grade13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

We are searching for a research associate who will supervise the definition project for MENARET. This includes coordination and content development and the preparation of a BMBF application for the future MENARET R & D project. The application is to be submitted as part of the Client ii funding scheme "International Partnerships for Sustainable Innovation" of the BMBF (https://www.bmbf.de/pub/CLIENT_II.pdf).

The aim is to develop a common research agenda and long-term international cooperation with already selected partners. Inventories of the energy systems of the partner countries have to be outlined and options and R & D cooperation for their sustainable design have to be developed. The aim is also to internationalize the research and discussions of the German and European energy transition and to broaden them by the perspective of neighboring regions. An integral part of the work is the collection of relevant research and knowledge needs from the point of view of different social groups.

As part of the definition project for MENARET, four workshops and short-field studies are planned in order to initiate and consolidate partnerships between institutions from Germany, Oman, Tunisia and Algeria. In the course of the definition project, networks between research institutions, civil society, private and public actors from Germany and the MENA region will be developed and deepened, with the goal of conceiving a transfer of knowledge and joint projects. Future collaborations in science and practice are planned.
