Research within our ERC grant Res­ol­u­tioNet pro­ject - Resolv­ing the Tussle in the Inter­net: Map­ping, Archi­tec­ture, and Policy Mak­ing (

Work­ing field:

The PostDoc will do advanced research in the areas of Inter­net Meas­ure­ment and Inter­net Sys­tems.
  • Research on large net­work data­sets and net­work sys­tems
  • Research on secur­ity issues of net­work sys­tems
  • Col­lab­or­a­tion with dif­fer­ent part­ners of some of the the best research groups in aca­demia and the Inter­net industry in Europe and the US
  • Dis­sem­in­a­tion/pub­lic­a­tion of the research res­ults at the most com­pet­it­ive inter­na­tional con­fer­ences in the area of Com­puter Net­works


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and a PhD in Com­puter Sci­ence or a closely related field by the time of appoint­ment.
  • A strong back­ground in col­lect­ing and ana­lyz­ing large net­work data­sets and/or build­ing net­work sys­tems is required.
  • An excel­lent know­ledge and exper­i­ence in research on secur­ity issues of net­work sys­tems a plus.
  • Can­did­ates with a strong pub­lic­a­tion record in inter­na­tional con­fer­ences rel­ev­ant for the research domain such as IMC, SIG­COMM, NSDI, CoN­EXT, will be given pri­or­ity.
  • Exper­i­ence in Python, DNS, BGP, net­flow, data-intens­ive archi­tec­tures like Hadoop and Spark is a big plus.
  • Very good oral and writ­ten skills in Eng­lish.
