Research Assist­ant (PostDoc) - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

Work­ing field:

Research in the ERC Pro­ject COCAN (Com­plex­ity and Con­di­tion in Algebra and Numer­ics) on “Numer­ical algorithms in com­plex algeb­raic geo­metry“ and / or “Ran­dom real algeb­raic vari­et­ies“.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and PhD in math­em­at­ics, back­ground in algorithmic algeb­raic geo­metry, prefer­ably also for numer­ical aspects (con­di­tion num­bers) and for the prob­ab­il­istic ana­lysis of numer­ical algorithms.
We expect a high motiv­a­tion for basic research as well as for applic­a­tions. Exper­i­ence with imple­ment­ing algorithms is wel­come. Good Eng­lish lan­guage skills are desired.
