The group of hydrogeology department investigates the complex behavior of dissolved constituents and microorganisms in the environment and deals with the management of water resources in hydrologically sensitive regions. The selected candidate will be integrated into a young interdisciplinary research group of hydrogeologists, civil engineers, and modelers.
The successful candidate will do research in an interesting and inspiring group and plays an active role in developing research concepts in the field of experimental hydrogeology. She/he will teach courses in the field of experimental hydrogeology and contribute to the supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students. The candidate is co-responsible for the subject area “Experimental Hydrogeology”, as well as for the maintenance of the field and laboratory equipment, and he/she will also support the chair in acquiring third party funding. The position offers the opportunity for establishing of an independent scientific research group as part of further qualification to habilitation.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) and PhD in hydrogeology
Experience in experimental hydrogeology (laboratory and/or field methods)
Research experience are advantageous
Professional work experience in hydrogeology is desired.

Good communication skills, especially good knowledge of the English language and basic knowledge of the German language
