Work­ing field:

Sci­entific assist­ance in research pro­ject "The Sky is the Limit - Future util­isa­tion of urban air­space".
The pro­ject will develop a sys­tem­atic ana­lysis of chances, poten­tials and risks of new avi­ation tech­no­lo­gies (drones, copters) that cre­ate the basis for stra­tegic sug­ges­tions for policy makers, admin­is­tra­tions, research and urban plan­ning, inter­ested in the future devel­op­ment of urban air­space.
  • Inde­pend­ent research activ­it­ies (status-, sec­ond­ary- and stake­holder ana­lyses) includ­ing reports and sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions
  • Real­isa­tion and ana­lysis of expert inter­views
  • Pro­ject present­a­tions
  • Work­shop organ­isa­tion
  • Stake­holder com­mu­nic­a­tion and pub­lic rela­tions
  • Admin­is­trat­ive sup­port for pro­ject coordin­a­tion
  • Cooper­a­tion with pro­ject part­ners


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Dip­lom, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in the fields trans­port/traffic sci­ences, urban and regional plan­ning, geo­graphy, polit­ical sci­ences or plan­ning and envir­on­mental law
  • Pro­found expert­ise in meth­ods of qual­it­at­ive social research
  • Major interest, curi­os­ity and enthu­si­asm for sub­jects at the inter­sec­tion of mobil­ity, trans­port and urban devel­op­ment; Pro­found know­ledge about recent and future mobil­ity con­cepts and joint prob­lems includ­ing aware­ness of trans­port policies
  • Capa­city for team­work, motiv­a­tion and abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently
  • Very good lan­guage skills in Ger­man and Eng­lish (spoken and writ­ten)
  • Prefer­able pre­vi­ous know­ledge in pro­ject man­age­ment of third party fun­ded pro­jects
  • Ideally, evid­ence of pub­lic­a­tions in sub­jects trans­port, mobil­ity, urban plan­ning, reg­u­la­tion
