Med­tech Pro­ject Mana­ger (f/m/d)

We now seek a highly qua­li­fied and moti­va­ted: Med­tech Pro­ject Mana­ger (f/m/d) to drive the power­ful cul­mi­na­tion of rese­arch into a novel sen­sing tech­no­logy that can change the land­s­cape of dia­gnostics in medi­cine. You will play a lea­dership role in the deve­lop­ment and cli­ni­cal trans­la­tion of this revo­lu­tio­nary new tech­no­logy and the pre­pa­ra­tion of its spin-off into a new start-up com­pany. Uti­li­zing inven­tive pho­to­nic sen­sors and cou­pled to advan­ced machine-lear­ning ana­ly­tics for big-data pro­ces­sing, the new sen­sor offers a pionee­ring new genera­tion of disease detec­tion with immense impact for health­care and strong busi­ness poten­tial.


The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will lead and stream­line the trans­fer of world-class rese­arch on pho­to­nic sen­sing to medi­cal app­li­ca­ti­ons and play a pivo­tal role in the com­mer­cia­li­za­tion phase of the tech­no­logy.
Asso­cia­ted tasks include:
  • Iden­tify tech­no­logy requi­re­ments and deve­lop­ment of solu­ti­ons
  • Super­vise data collec­tion and ana­ly­tics for gene­ra­ting a port­fo­lio of tech­no­logy spe­ci­fi­ca­ti­ons
  • Tune the going to mar­ket stra­tegy, mar­ket app­li­ca­ti­ons and cor­re­spon­ding time­li­nes
  • Estab­lish day-to-day ope­ra­ti­ons and pre­pare for tech­no­logy spin-off
  • Raise public fun­ding for entre­pre­neu­rial activi­ties and pre­pare for pri­vate start-up fun­ding

Er­war­te­te Qua­li­fi­ka­tio­nen:

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will have expe­ri­ence in med­tech or bio­me­di­cal sen­sors, strong com­mit­ment to shape the medi­cine of the future and address pres­sing health chal­len­ges of modern socie­ties, inclu­ding meta­bo­lic and vascu­lar dis­or­ders and she/he will shine with exem­plary moti­va­tion for entre­pre­neurship and busi­ness crea­tion through inno­va­tive ideas.
The ideal app­li­cant must have the fol­lo­wing:
  • Uni­ver­sity degree (incl. PhD) in any of phy­sics, engi­nee­ring, medi­cine or bio­logy and strong entre­pre­neu­rial moti­va­tion OR a degree in busi­ness admi­nis­tra­tion with expe­ri­ence in medi­cal tech­no­logy.
  • Excel­lent stra­te­gic and busi­ness acu­men as well as the abi­lity to deve­lop a win­ning busi­ness plan.
  • Abi­lity to under­stand and to con­tri­bute to tech­no­logy solu­ti­ons for medi­cine.
  • Busi­ness crea­tion and Start-up expe­ri­ence in med­tech or dia­gnostics con­si­de­red a (strong) plus.
  • Team player who works well with tech­ni­cal teams and medi­cal doc­tors.
  • Expe­ri­ence in working in fast-paced and chal­len­ging envi­ron­ments.
  • Impec­ca­ble judgment and high per­so­nal/pro­fes­sio­nal inte­grity.
  • Out­stan­ding lea­dership, work ethics and moti­va­tion.
  • Great net­wor­king abi­lity and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skill.
  • Busi­ness flu­ent com­mand of the Eng­lish and Ger­man lan­guage.
