Work­ing field:

Col­lab­or­a­tion in a DFG-fun­ded pro­ject to ana­lyse the influ­ence of the lat­tice mis­match between the phases of a nickel-base super­al­loy on its creep beha­viour. Ana­lysis of stresses dur­ing creep deform­a­tions at high tem­per­at­ures on the micro­scopic level using numer­ical meth­ods.


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the fields of phys­ical engin­eer­ing, mech­an­ics, phys­ics or com­par­able
  • very good know­ledge of con­tinuum mech­an­ics, crys­tal plas­ti­city and dis­lo­ca­tion the­ory
  • very good know­ledge of the finite ele­ment method and prac­tical use of the Abaqus pro­gram
  • know­ledge of the Fen­ics and Math­em­at­ica pro­grams is advant­age­ous
  • exper­i­ence with the imple­ment­a­tion of mater­ial mod­els in Abaqus
  • good know­ledge of the pro­gram­ming lan­guages For­tran and Python
  • good Eng­lish lan­guage skills are desired
