Die Research Group DIMA at TU Berlin is seeking to fill a position as Principal Researcher in the Berlin Big Data Center for the research area BIG DATA ANALYTICS. The position encompasses conducting research and the scientific coordination of the project partners, interaction with cooperation partners, presentation and representation of the BBDC internally and externally, with industry and media, and investigates research challenges in scalable data management and data science.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and a PhD in Data Management. Candidates should be interested in conducting research and system-development in a real-world application setting. In particular we expect a publication record at leading data management conferences such as SIGMOD and VLDB as well as experiences in project coordination. Applicants experienced in big data analytics systems, such as Apache Flink or Spark as well as open source development will be looked upon favorably. Excellent English language skills are a prerequisite.
