Tech­ni­sche Uni­ver­sität Ber­lin - Fac­ulty I – Insti­tute of Voca­tional Edu­ca­tion and Work Stud­ies

Within the frame­work of the "Qual­ity Offens­ive Teacher Train­ing", the pro­ject "TUB Teach­ing 2.0 – Innov­at­ive Start, Work- and Research-Rela­tion in the Job-Related Teacher Train­ing" is sup­posed to sup­port and fur­ther develop the teacher train­ing at the Tech­nis­che Uni­versität Ber­lin. There­fore, so-called Cooper­a­tion Labor­at­or­ies (Co-Labs) are being estab­lished in order to cre­ate a con­nec­tion to the pro­fes­sional prac­tice and to con­trib­ute to the pro­fes­sion­al­iz­a­tion of the voca­tional teach­ers. This is sup­posed to pro­mote the stu­dents’ skills of devel­op­ing het­ero­gen­eity-sens­it­ive and job-related class tasks and of cre­at­ing com­pet­ence-ori­ented classes.

Work­ing field:

  • devel­op­ment, imple­ment­a­tion and eval­u­ation of approaches to estab­lish­ing Cooper­a­tion Labor­at­or­ies (Co-Labs) for the divi­sion of elec­trical engin­eer­ing, inform­a­tion tech­no­logy, metal tech­no­logy, auto­mot­ive engin­eer­ing and media Engin­eer­ing
  • ana­lysis and devel­op­ment of work-ori­ent­ated, dif­fer­en­ti­ated learn­ing tasks with con­sid­er­a­tion of cur­rent cross-cut­ting issues (sus­tain­ab­il­ity, digit­al­isa­tion, dia­gnostics, inclu­sion, lan­guage devel­op­ment)
  • (sub­ject-)didactic pre­par­a­tion of tasks cross-cut­ting the learn­ing envir­on­ment for activ­ity- and com­pet­ence-ori­ented teach­ing
  • assist­ance in the research asso­ci­ation "TUB Teach­ing 2.0"
  • inde­pend­ent sci­entific pub­lic­a­tion activ­it­ies


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted sci­entific uni­versity edu­ca­tion (Dip­lom, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) prefer­ably in the area of edu­ca­tion, edu­ca­tional sci­ences, teach­ing at voca­tional Schools
  • interest in fur­ther sci­entific train­ing (doc­tor­ate or habil­it­a­tion)
  • flu­ent Ger­man and Eng­lish skills in speak­ing and writ­ing; exper­i­ence in uni­versity edu­ca­tion, prefer­ably in the area of edu­ca­tion of teach­ers and the con­cep­tion of uni­versity courses
  • prefer­ably exper­i­ences in quant­it­at­ive empir­ical edu­ca­tional research and in the exe­cu­tion of inter­dis­cip­lin­ary research Pro­jects
  • inde­pend­ence, abil­ity to work in a team, open­ness
