Canotic - Artificial Intelligence

We are a group of former Google, Microsoft, and MIT machine learning researchers and engineers who spent the last 2 years creating a new programming interface for AI.
We have developed an “AI compiler” that empowers enterprise customers all over the world to structure their raw data at scale for machine learning-driven, business-defining insights.

Data Annotation Specialist (Working Student)

AI data labeller

Working field:

# Crowd Hero - Data Annotation Specialist

Data is the new oil, and Canotic is the refinery for the next generation of AI applications.

We enable anyone to benefit from AI by allowing data scientists, machine learning engineers or developers to easily share their data for data annotation or labeling.

We are looking for someone to take on data annotation and validation tasks to support our team and help train our machine learning algorithms. As a Data Annotation Specialist, you will use a variety of internal specialized software programs to mark objects, activities, events, or other items of interest in images, video, text or audio files. This position is critical to the success of our customers, as well annotated data is the key ingredient in machine learning algorithms.

The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail. Duties also require providing feedback for improvements on tools and processes, and on occasion, helping our field teams with questions.

  • Annotate and label image, video, text and audio data via computer using various internal software programs.

  • Tackle incoming tasks within a short timeframe -

Attach metadata (comments, markups, etc.) to image, video, audio and text data in accordance with established procedures and precise instructions.

  • Provide feedback to customers if data is noisy or instructions are unclear.

  • Provide constructive feedback to our engineers on tooling and processes for more efficient labeling, and to improve data quality.

  • Maintain ownership of each annotation assignment, and respond to any changes in procedure and auditors.

  • Evaluate metrics to help improve our productivity

  • Collaborate with other annotation specialists and help out with questions

  • Responsible, Self-motivated to work independently, even with minimal supervision (training is provided)

  • An excellent communicator

  • Meticulous and detail oriented

  • Able to type at least 50WPM

  • Able to maintain sharp focus, even with repetitive tasks

  • Willing to support several projects at one time, and to accept reprioritization as necessary

  • Some experience of similar activities would be a bonus, e.g. Image segmentation and classification, Data Entry, etc.

  • Eager to learn

  • Team player

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary
