Research Assist­ant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD can­did­ate)

Work­ing field:

  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in teach­ing courses of the B. Sc./M. Sc.-study pro­gram Geo­tech­no­lo­gie, par­tic­u­larly in tutori­als, field- and labor­at­ory train­ings
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the research pro­jects of the Depart­ment of Engin­eer­ing Geo­logy, in par­tic­u­lar in the field of geor­isks and data min­ing

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in a geo­tech­nical degree pro­gram with focus on engin­eer­ing geo­logy.
  • The will­ing­ness and abil­ity for field work is a pre­requis­ite.
  • Exper­i­ence in the study of mass move­ments, proven exper­i­ence in data min­ing of geoscientific data as well as related soft­ware products and know­ledge of geo­graphic inform­a­tion sys­tems (QGIS, SAGA GIS) are required.
  • Prac­tical exper­i­ence in geo­tech­nical labor­at­ory tests and good mech­an­ical know­ledge are expec­ted.
  • You have the abil­ity to teach in Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage.
  • Ideally, you already have some ini­tial teach­ing exper­i­ence.
  • Know­ledge in deal­ing with ana­lyt­ical and numer­ical soft­ware solu­tions for geo­tech­nical prob­lems is desir­able.
  • Exper­i­ence in deal­ing with ter­restrial laser scan­ning and UAV-based engin­eer­ing geo­lo­gical explor­a­tion would be advant­age­ous.
