The pro­ject „Schmeck! Prac­tices and aes­thet­ics of eat­ing in the quest for sus­tain­able food­ways“ offers a second pos­i­tion as rese­arch asso­ci­ate in a 50% part-time arrange­ment. The pro­ject is a pilot pro­ject in qual­it­at­ive-sens­ory “cit­izen sci­ence”.

Work­ing field:

  • Coor­din­a­tion of the rese­arch pro­cess in an exten­ded pro­ject team with 20 ama­teur rese­arch­ers and sci­ent­i­fic and artis­tic part­ners
  • Con­cept, train­ing and coor­din­a­tion of sens­ory-eth­no­gra­fic rese­arch and taste exper­i­ments
  • Con­tri­bu­tion to the artic­u­la­tion of pro­ject res­ults, e.g. in form of a „slightly dif­fer­ent cook­book“ and a reflec­tion on the trans­dis­cip­lin­ary rese­arch pro­cess


  • Suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in soci­ology, anthro­po­logy, cul­tural stud­ies or com­par­able dis­cip­lines
  • Exper­i­ence in lead­ing and mod­er­at­ing col­lab­or­at­ive pro­ces­ses in het­ero­gen­eous teams
  • Given expert­ise or cap­ab­il­ity to work up the state of debate in meth­ods of sens­ory eth­no­gra­phy, aes­the­tic exper­i­ments and trans­dis­cip­lin­ary rese­arch
  • Good Eng­lish lan­guage skills are desi­red
