Research Assist­ant (PostDoc) - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

The Elec­tro­chem­ical Energy Sci­ence Group at Tech­nis­che Uni­versität Ber­lin seeks to hire a can­did­ate with hands-on exper­i­ence in exper­i­mental elec­tro­chem­ical mass spec­tro­metry.

Work­ing field:

Par­ti­cip­a­tion in a research pro­ject on mech­an­isms and mater­i­als for effi­cient CO2 sep­ar­a­tion schemes with a focus on the applic­a­tion of dif­fer­en­tial elec­tro­chem­ical mass spec­tro­metry. Required for this pos­i­tion is in-depth know­ledge of elec­tro­chem­ical mass spec­tro­metry and its applic­a­tion in the field of Li ion bat­ter­ies. Fur­ther­more, proven exper­i­ence in pre­par­ing and char­ac­ter­iz­ing gal­vanic bat­tery cells is needed. The goal of the research work is new mech­an­istic under­stand­ing of elec­tro­chem­ical CO2 sep­ar­a­tion tech­no­lo­gies.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in chem­istry
  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted PhD degree in Chem­ical Engin­eer­ing
  • Prior research exper­i­ence in the field of Li-air bat­ter­ies and exper­i­mental elec­tro­chem­ical mass spec­tro­metry
  • Excel­lent Eng­lish com­mu­nic­a­tion skills
  • The pos­i­tion is suited for a self-driven indi­vidual who is cap­able of con­duct­ing demand­ing research pro­jects inde­pend­ently.
