The interdisciplinary post graduate program Integrated Energy Supply Modules for Roadbound E-Mobility (mobilEM) is funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). The overall objective is the investigation of the physical foundations of electro-chemical energy storage and its combination with novel fuel-operated range extender units.
We offer a 3-year PhD fellowship in an international and interdisciplinary academic network with fellow researchers.

Work­ing field:

The inter­di­sci­pli­nary post gra­duate pro­gram Inte­gra­ted Energy Sup­ply Modu­les for Road­bound E-Mobi­lity (mobi­lEM) is fun­ded by Deut­sche For­schungs­ge­mein­schaft (DFG). The over­all objec­tive is the inves­ti­ga­tion of the phy­si­cal foun­da­ti­ons of elec­tro-che­mi­cal energy sto­rage and its com­bi­na­tion with novel fuel-ope­ra­ted range exten­der units.
We offer a 3-year PhD fel­low­ship in an inter­na­tio­nal and inter­di­sci­pli­nary aca­de­mic net­work with fel­low rese­ar­chers.

Require­ments:

  • Hol­der of a uni­ver­sity degree (mas­ter or equi­va­lent) in natu­ral or mate­ri­als sci­en­ces with above average scores.
  • Expe­ri­ence in elec­tro­che­mi­cal pro­per­ties of bat­tery mate­ri­als
  • Inte­rest in inno­va­tive and inter­di­sci­pli­nary topics.
  • High level of respon­si­bi­lity, initia­tive and team spi­rit.
  • High moti­va­tion for con­duc­ting a PhD the­sis

What we of­fer:

The posi­tion is to 3 years and is to be fil­led by Octo­ber 1, 2019. This is a part-time posi­tion (50% of the stan­dard wee­kly hours for full-time employees). It is pos­si­ble to upgrade the part-time posi­tion to 66% of the stan­dard wee­kly hours for full-time employees.

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date has the oppor­tu­nity to pur­sue a doc­to­ral degree.

The salary cor­re­sponds to level EG 13 TV-L.
