The AV department is looking for a Research Assistant for the Linked Data Services for Mobility (LIMBO) project.
In particular, LIMBO is a Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft (BMWi)-funded innovation project that aims to develop a secure, robust and real-time capable solution for the manufacturing industry.
For this purpose, a corresponding communication reference architecture will be developed for future industry 4.0 applications, using key technologies from the fields of 5G, multi-access edge computing (MEC), cloud computing, virtualization, and industrial monitoring and analytics, and put in practice in various demonstrators among the industrial partners.
The Research Assistant is responsible for supporting the existing team in implementation and transferring the experience to the larger research framework of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). We support the candidate to use the results gained within the project for the preparation of a PhD thesis.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science or equivalent
Very good knowledge of German
Being a team player
Solid foundations of computer science and good network skills (TCP/IP)
Basics in handling Linux-Shell
Good programming experience (especially Python)
Basics in scientific work and writing
Good knowledge in Semantic-Web-Technologies and Linked Open Data
Further, experience in one or more of the following areas are of advantage:
