Work­ing field:

  • Research in the frame­work of the Col­lab­or­at­ive Research Centre 1357 “Mik­roplastik”, sub­pro­ject B04: Particle exchange at the air-water inter­face
  • Design, setup, imple­ment­a­tion, dis­cus­sion, present­a­tion, and pub­lic­a­tion of labor­at­ory exper­i­ments at the Chair of Envir­on­mental Chem­istry and Air Research to determ­ine exchange rates of micro­plastic particles from water bod­ies to air as a func­tion of poly­mer prop­er­ties
  • Invest­ig­a­tion of the mech­an­ical stress of micro­plastic particles asso­ci­ated with the water-air trans­fer pro­cess in col­lab­or­a­tion with pro­ject part­ners
  • Close col­lab­or­a­tion and coordin­a­tion with the work­ing group of Prof. Dr. Stephan Gekle (The­or­et­ical Phys­ics, Uni­versity of Bayreuth) sim­u­lat­ing air-water trans­fer pro­cesses
  • Integ­ra­tion into the struc­tured PhD pro­gram “Poly­Plan” of the CRC 1357


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the field of envir­on­mental tech­no­logy, geoe­co­logy, envir­on­mental sci­ences or equi­val­ent
  • exper­i­ence with instru­ment­a­tion for aer­o­sol meas­ure­ments (e.g. optical particle spec­tro­meter, mobil­ity particle spec­tro­meter) advant­age­ous
  • pro­found quant­it­at­ive ana­lysis skills required
  • exper­i­ence with com­puter pro­gram­ming and pro­found math­em­at­ical skills advant­age­ous
  • very good writ­ten and oral lan­guage skills in Ger­man or Eng­lish required
