The BMBF funded project „Bauhaus 4.0 – Digital Update for the artistic design teaching of Bauhaus. Concept for digital prototyping in higher education for industry 4.0“ is an interdisciplinary project for the digital innovation in artistic design teaching lead by Kunsthochschule Weißensee.
The position in the sub-project „ Evaluation of digital prototyping in artistic learning processes“ at the department of educational psychology at TU Berlin entails the following activities:
a) conceptualizing and conducting an evaluation study with a mixed-methods design with multiple measurement points (quantitative data collection concerning attitudes, emotions, competencies and focus group discussions concerning experiences and possibilities of transfer of the concepts in higher education didactics)
b) formative feedback cycles with lecturers and project personal concerning the empirical results for the design of the learning arrangements / concepts of didactics
c) empirical research concerning technology acceptance, learning and achievement based experiences with digital learning and cognitive visualization skills
We are a department with extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative social research with a focus on conditions and processes of learning in educational institutions and a wide range of other interests.
successfully completed scientific university degree (Diploma, Master or equivalent) in Psychology, Educational Science, or Social Science
interest in mixed method approaches and working with qualitative and quantitative data
strong expertise in the analysis of qualitative (e.g., MaxQDA, NVivo, atlas.ti) and/or quantitative data (e.g., SPSS, Mplus, R) and motivation to develop skills in the other field respectively
experience in conducting quantitative data collections and/or experience in reconstructive social research, esp. in the analysis of group discussions (e.g. documentary method)
confidence in data collections with people of different status (students, lecturers, master technicians)
very good interdisciplinary communication and cooperation skills
fluency in German (written and spoken), very good English skills (written and spoken)
independent, systematic and precise way of working
experience with oral and written communication of research results
interest in artistic processes, digitalization, research on higher education, teaching and learning
An accompanying dissertation is desired.
