We are looking to fill the position of a research assistant / PostDoc in the field of in the field of process and material flow analysis, techno-economic assessment and life cycle assessment (LCA) at the earliest opportunity. Modeling and techno-economic as well as ecological assessment of processes and supply chains with practical applications in the fields of bio economy, bio-based fuels and power-to-fuels
Analysis of production and supply networks ranging from raw materials and production to the logistics of final products
Presentation of results within project meetings and at international conferences
Preparation of scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals
Supervision of students
You have completed a Master’s degree or PhD in the area of Management and Economics, Engineering or Natural Science with great success.
You are experienced in material flow analysis, techno-economic assessment, LCA as well as modeling and optimization of processes and supply networks.
Expertise of an optimization language or MATLAB / Simulink as well as knowledge of LCA software is preferred.
You are interested in the analysis, modeling, and evaluation of different process and production paths including their production and recycling processes with regard to techno-economic and ecological fac-tors.
Your work is characterized by initiative, self-motivation, commitment, ability to work in a team, and social skills.
You have good command of English.
An autonomous and structured way of working as well as analytical thinking complete your profile.
What we offer:
The position is 2 years and is to be filled as soon as possible. An extension for another year is intended This is a full-time position.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree.
The salary corresponds to level EG 13 TV-L.
