Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Research within a DFG project in the field of computational geometry, specifically in modeling polyhedral and polyhedral partitioning of space for digital modelling of topology and geometry; possibility to obtain a PhD degree. The project is executed in cooperation together with Mrs. Prof. D.Sc. Galishnikova, Ph.D., Peoples‘ Friendship University of Russia, Moscow. The project team consists at each partner university of a research assistant (full time position) and a student coworker (40 h/month). The project language is English. Selected project meetings take place in Moscow.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in engineering, computer sciences, mathematics or related fields
Very good knowledge in computational geometry
Experiences in object oriented programming, preferably Java or C#
The ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills, and a high motivation to bring own ideas to the project
Knowledge in existing modeling tools used in civil engineering and / or other engineering disciplines are desired.
Very good English language skills are expected.
