Technische Universität Berlin - Faculty V - Institute of Land and Sea Transport Systems / Transport Systems Planning and Transport Telematics
The department of Transport Systems Planning and Transport Telematics (VSP) deals with the modeling and simulation of traffic, evaluation of transport projects, analysis of innovations such as autonomous driving / mobility-as-a-service as well as sustainable design of transport systems. Higher level goals are the research of strategies to develop sustainable transport (CO2-neutral, NOx-neutral) systems, which contribute to reaching environmental as well as climate targets and at the same time ensure mobility as required by the society and the economy. For this purpose, an open-source-software for agent-based simulation of traffic systems (www.matsim.org) is used, which is developed by our department.
