Research Assist­ant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

under the reserve that funds are gran­ted - part-time employ­ment may be pos­sible

Work­ing field:

  • Research in the field of machine learn­ing (ML)
  • Devel­op­ment of scal­able machine learn­ing meth­ods with applic­a­tions in phys­ics and quantum chem­istry, in par­tic­u­lar atom­istic sim­u­la­tions and many-body sim­u­la­tions
  • Soft­ware imple­ment­a­tion of machine learn­ing algorithms
  • Oppor­tun­ity for a doc­toral degree.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Com­puter Sci­ence, Phys­ics, Engin­eer­ing or Applied Math­em­at­ics
  • Pro­found know­ledge in machine learn­ing, in par­tic­u­lar ker­nel meth­ods and/or neural net­works
  • Prac­tical exper­i­ence with devel­op­ing and apply­ing machine learn­ing algorithms
  • Solid pro­gram­ming skills, in par­tic­u­lar exper­i­ence with ML and lin­ear algebra frame­works (PyT­orch, Tensor¬Flow, NumPy etc.)
  • Excel­lent com­mu­nic­a­tions skills in Eng­lish and Ger­man
  • Prac­tical know­ledge in quantum the­ory and molecu­lar sim­u­la­tions is a plus
  • Inter­dis­cip­lin­ary and col­lab­or­at­ive pro­ject exper­i­ence is a plus
