Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Research in the field of machine learning (ML)
Development of scalable machine learning methods with applications in physics and quantum chemistry, in particular atomistic simulations and many-body simulations
Software implementation of machine learning algorithms
Opportunity for a doctoral degree.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Applied Mathematics
Profound knowledge in machine learning, in particular kernel methods and/or neural networks
Practical experience with developing and applying machine learning algorithms
Solid programming skills, in particular experience with ML and linear algebra frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor¬Flow, NumPy etc.)
Excellent communications skills in English and German
Practical knowledge in quantum theory and molecular simulations is a plus
Interdisciplinary and collaborative project experience is a plus
