Working field:

  • Creating, analyzing, and assessing layouts of offshore PtX platforms
  • Developing logistic and transport concepts for the supply and disposal of offshore PtX platforms to produce renewable fuels while also giving consideration to material properties and possible hazard potential as well as different transport possibilities
  • Preparing technical specifications required for the implementation of PtX systems on different types of offshore platforms
  • Developing recommendations for action regarding the construction of offshore PtX platforms


  • Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in engineering, preferably in maritime technologies, naval and marine engineering, plant engineering or a comparable discipline
  • Excellent team skills, high level of commitment, flexibility, cost-efficient mindset and approach
  • Ability to effectively document and communicate both technical and economic aspects and information
  • Ability to lead binding technical negotiations with project partners and authorities
  • Ability to manage student staff
  • Excellent written and spoken German is mandatory

Desired qualifications:
  • Experience in the field of offshore structures
  • Experience in the field of offshore wind power stations
  • Experience in the field of naval engineering as well as regulations for the transport of dangerous goods by sea
  • Experience in the fields of electrical power engineering and alternative fuels
  • Excellent written and spoken English
