The mis­sion of the Leib­niz Centre for Agri­cul­tural Land­scape Research (ZALF) as a nation­ally and inter­na­tion­ally act­ive research insti­tute is to deliver solu­tions for an eco­lo­gic­ally, eco­nom­ic­ally and socially sus­tain­able agri­cul­ture – together with soci­ety. ZALF is a mem­ber of the Leib­niz Asso­ci­ation and is loc­ated in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Ber­lin-Lichten­berg). It also main­tains a research sta­tion with fur­ther loc­a­tions in Dede­low and Pau­lin­enaue.

The EU-fun­ded pro­ject MAC­SUR Sci­ence Policy Pilot (MAC­SUR SciPol, June 2021 – Decem­ber 2022) brings sci­ence and policy together to stra­tegic­ally design a response to cli­mate change adapt­a­tion and mit­ig­a­tion chal­lenges in the agri-food sec­tor in Europe. The SciPol pilot will gen­er­ate key les­sons to estab­lish and oper­a­tion­al­ise a sci­ence-policy know­ledge forum. The forum works on model gen­er­ated know­ledge syn­thesis for evid­ence-based policy sup­port to achieve car­bon neut­ral­ity by 2050, adapt to cli­mate change and under­stand syn­er­gies and trade-offs in achiev­ing these tar­gets.

Working field:

  • Web­site con­tent man­age­ment and social media engage­ment
  • Lit­er­at­ure ana­lysis, screen­ing and sum­mar­iz­ing of text doc­u­ments
  • Data ana­lysis and cre­ation of graphic mater­i­als
  • Organ­iz­a­tion and note tak­ing of meet­ings
  • Inde­pend­ent com­mu­nic­a­tion with pro­ject mem­bers


  • Bach­elor or Mas­ter’s degree in agro­nomy, envir­on­mental sci­ence, agroe­co­logy, or sim­ilar
  • Very good self-organ­iz­a­tion skills and reli­ab­il­ity
  • Very good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, in par­tic­u­lar with elec­tronic formats
  • Flu­ent spoken and writ­ten Eng­lish
  • Very good skills with MS Office, web­site man­age­ment, social media
  • At best know­ledge in con­tent man­age­ment sys­tems
  • Cap­able to do team work, flex­ib­il­ity and will­ing­ness to learn about new things/skills
  • Exper­i­ence with data ana­lysis and web­site man­age­ment is a merit
