Thze position is starting as soon as possible. The position comprises 50 % of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited for 24 months. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification.
scientific teaching and research activities and academic self-administration tasks; In-situ measurement of fluid system is a powerful method to unlock the transport processes in transparent or translucent continuous medium. This also falls into the core research method of all research activities we do in the Electromagnetic Separation group. Within the past decade, we have established multiple measurement platforms based on a monochronomatic (632 nm) laser based Mach-Zehnder Interferometer. The candidate is asked to develop further this technique into a full color Interferometry. Based on the current technological knowhow, the candidate is asked to implement two existing TEM00 longitudinal mono-mode laser with wavelength 532 nm and 473 nm into the existing platform.
university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent; previous work related transport process simulation as well as optical experimental experience. A bonus is the understanding in machine learning and chemical reaction kinetics. A procedure and object-oriented programming is preferred.
