A successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) is provided with the field traffic engineering or structural engineering with the focus on traffic engineering. The candidate ought to have in-depth knowledge in road safety and designing road infrastructure outside of built-up areas. Knowledge is desirable in dealing with suitable specialist software, like MS Access and ArcGIS as well as SPSS, and statistical grounding. Very good knowledge of English is an advantage furthermore.
