The HZG Insti­tute of Bio­ma­ter­ial Sci­ence per­forms fun­da­mental research focused on mul­ti­func­tional, poly­mer-based mater­i­als for applic­a­tions in regen­er­at­ive medi­cine.

Intern­ship for mas­ter stu­dents (m/f)

Intern­ship or stu­dent assist­ant pos­i­tion in the field of pho­to­litho­graphy and micro­fluidics.

Work­ing field:

Engin­eer­ing, con­struc­tion and char­ac­ter­iz­a­tion of poly­meric micro­struc­tures through pho­to­litho­graphy and micro­fluidics.

Require­ments:

Mas­ter stu­dents, espe­cially in the areas of mater­i­als sci­ence/engin­eer­ing, mech­an­ical engin­eer­ing, bio­med­ical engin­eer­ing, organic or mac­ro­molec­u­lar chem­istry or phys­ics. The can­did­ate must speak Eng­lish flu­ently, be self-motiv­ated and be inter­ested in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary research.

What we of­fer:

The can­did­ate will work in a highly motiv­ated inter­dis­cip­lin­ary and inter­na­tional team, being well ment­ored and hav­ing access to excel­lent infra­struc­ture with state-of-the-art equip­ment. The dur­a­tion and amount of work­ing hours of the intern­ship can be indi­vidu­ally nego­ti­ated with each can­did­ate. In case of suc­cess­ful res­ults dur­ing the intern­ship, there is a pos­sib­il­ity of extend­ing it for the mas­ter thesis.
