Within a third-party funded project, the TU Berlin will develop and qualify a new method for polymer waveguide Integration in flexible circuit boards.
The scope of work will especially focus on the design and simulation of optical structures for high bit rate data communication with light. Beside the optical wave guide in and out coupling have to be taken into account.
successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in electrical engineering, physics or similar
knowledge and experience in micro system technology and photonics and HF
experience in project work
additional knowledge desired in
a) advanced electrical high frequency technolgies
b) advanced optical data-/ telecom
c) practised optical simulation
very good command of German and good command of English (written and spoken)
independent and well-structured working method
willingness to accept responsibilities for different tasks
good abilty to work in a team, willingness for documentation tasks
