Scientific services for research in the interdisciplinary DFG-funded project "Neighborhood in the tourism trap? An examination on the changing residential quality through tourist accommodations in selected Berlin residential neighbourhoods", which is carried out in cooperation with the Chair of Urban Sociology and Sociology of Space, TU Darmstadt, in particular: The organization, implementation and software-based evaluation of qualitative guided interviews; conducting media analysis; the preparation, implementation and evaluation of focus groups, the organization of an open space event, the preparation and participation in joint workshops and conferences as well as the preparation of project data for archiving; also own contributions to the publication of the research results. The research is also a base for own research and the scientific qualification of the applicant. Opportunity to prepare for a doctoral dissertation (PhD) is given.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the social sciences, with a focus in urban or spatial sociology is expected, above-average degree desired; very good application knowledge of qualitative social research, with a focus on qualitative interviews; very good command of German and English; willingness to travel to Darmstadt for workshops with the local project staff. Desired are experience in team work and the willingness to interdisciplinary cooperation in a larger team. In addition, knowledge in the field of economic sociology, tourism sociology and/or Turkish language skills are beneficial.
