Work­ing field:

Research in the field of Algorithmic Algebra, the pre­par­a­tion of a doc­toral thesis is pro­moted. Moreover, it is expec­ted that the can­did­ate sup­ports the head of the work­ing group in research, advanced teach­ing and aca­demic self-admin­is­tra­tion.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Math­em­at­ics. A thor­ough expert­ise in the fields of Algeb­raic Geo­metry, Effi­cient Algorithms and The­ory of Com­plex­ity is a pre­requis­ite. Pre­vi­ous know­ledge in the area of Invari­ant The­ory and Geo­met­ric Com­plex­ity is par­tic­u­larly desired.
We are look­ing for a highly motiv­ated can­did­ate, who wants to fur­ther qual­ify him­self by doing her/his PhD in one of the work­ing fields men­tioned above.
