Uni­versity Pro­fessor - salary grade W3

for "Indus­trial Pro­duc­tion and Ser­vice Man­age­ment"

Work­ing field:

The can­did­ate will hold the chair in 'Indus­trial Pro­duc­tion and Ser­vice Man­age­ment'. He/She has a strong interest in research, demon­strated by highly ranked pub­lic­a­tions focused on top­ics, such as resource-effi­ciency in pro­duc­tion, net­work­ing and intel­li­gent man­age­ment of the value chain, pro­cess-ori­ented innov­a­tion and integ­ra­tion of pro­duc­tion and ser­vices, and/or flex­ible pro­duc­tion-sys­tems for cus­tom­ized pro­duc­tion. He/She has excel­lent didactic skills and will offer courses in the Bach­elor and Mas­ter pro­grams “Indus­trial Engin­eer­ing and Man­age­ment”, “Busi­ness Inform­at­ics”, “Eco­nomic Math­em­at­ics”, and in fur­ther pro­grams of the fac­ulty, like the Bach­elor pro­gram “Sus­tain­able Man­age­ment” or “FÜS”, an inter­dis­cip­lin­ary course for all TU stu­dents. He/She is expec­ted to raise third-party funds from national and inter­na­tional fund­ing insti­tu­tions, to engage in col­lab­or­ator research with other dis­cip­lines, engin­eer­ing sci­ences in par­tic­u­lar, to com­ply with the research pri­or­it­ies of the fac­ulty, and to act­ively take part in aca­demic self-admin­is­tra­tion.

Require­ments:

Suc­cess­ful applic­ants must ful­fil the require­ments for appoint­ment at the pro­fessor level in com­pli­ance with § 100 Ber­lHG (Ber­lin Higher Edu­ca­tion Act), includ­ing a uni­versity degree, qual­i­fied achieve­ments in research (doc­tor­ate), post-doc­toral lec­ture qual­i­fic­a­tion (Habil­it­a­tion) or equi­val­ent qual­i­fic­a­tion and ped­ago­gical didactic qual­i­fic­a­tions, to be proven by teach­ing exper­i­ence and visu­al­ized in a teach­ing port­fo­lio (for more inform­a­tion see TUB Web­site, quick access no. 144242).
Excel­lent sci­entific qual­i­fic­a­tion demon­strated by highly ranked pub­lic­a­tions, doc­u­mented exper­i­ences in third-party fund­ing with national and inter­na­tional fund­ing insti­tu­tions, exper­i­ence in col­lab­or­at­ive research and inter­dis­cip­lin­ary cooper­a­tion, integ­ra­tion into the (inter­na­tional) research com­munity, as well as excel­lent didactic qual­i­fic­a­tions and teach­ing exper­i­ence in rel­ev­ant fields.
