com­mer­ce­tools wurde 2006 von Dirk Hörig und Denis Wer­ner gegrün­det und hat in Deutsch­land Stand­orte in Mün­chen und Ber­lin sowie Büros in den USA in New York und Durham/NC. com­mer­ce­tools ist ein welt­weit füh­ren­der Anbie­ter cloud­ba­sier­ter E-Com­merce-Tech­no­lo­gie. Mit sei­ner hoch­ver­füg­ba­ren Omnichan­nel-Platt­form kön­nen inter­na­tio­nale Händ­ler und Her­stel­ler unter­schied­lichste B2C- und B2B-Han­dels­mo­delle über alle Ver­kaufs­ka­näle und für sämt­li­che End­ge­räte abbil­den und mit­tels der umfang­rei­chen E-Com­merce-API bestehende Unter­neh­mens­pro­zesse und -tech­no­lo­gien fle­xi­bel anbin­den. You know how to build fea­ture-rich web applic­a­tions that integ­rate well with "enter­prise level" web ser­vices? You develop user inter­faces that are easy to use for people without a com­puter sci­ence degree? You would like to con­trib­ute to our know­ledge man­age­ment, sup­por­ted by sev­eral teams, but man­age your tasks in a way they are aligned with your stud­ies? Work­ing field:

  • You are an integ­ral part of our Pro­fes­sional Ser­vices team and will sup­port other IT and non- IT teams in our com­pany by con­trib­ut­ing dif­fer­ent tasks
  • develop or extend a web-based con­fig­ur­a­tion inter­face
  • provide good usab­il­ity on this inter­face by sort cap­ab­il­it­ies, fil­ter func­tion­al­it­ies, clear design, integ­rate applic­a­tion with under­ly­ing data­base
  • integ­rate web applic­a­tion with Sales­force CRM sys­tem & syn­chron­ize data via REST­ful web ser­vices


  • min­imum two semesters com­pleted of your stud­ies
  • avail­ab­il­ity for at least 12 months or more (20h/week, more dur­ing the semester breaks)
  • first exper­i­ences with a web frame­work, prefer­ably Play for Scala
  • basic know­ledge in front end tech­no­lo­gies (HTML/CSS/JavaS­cript)
  • interest in work­ing with REST­ful APIs and JSON
  • know­ledge of any NoSQL data­base, prefer­ably Mon­goDB
  • first exper­i­ences in work­ing with Git­Hub
  • very good Eng­lish, Ger­man would be a plus
  • struc­tured, reli­able and inde­pend­ent work style com­bined with flex­ib­il­ity and a quick per­cep­tion
  • team player with humor and a good dose of prag­mat­ism :-)
