Work­ing field:

In this pro­ject (pro­ject title: Indoor explor­a­tion for police spe­cial forces with drones) we enhance and test tech­no­lo­gies and pro­ced­ures for indoor explor­a­tion with drones to sup­port police spe­cial forces. We pri­or­it­ize fast, autonom­ous nav­ig­a­tion and explor­a­tion or indoor struc­tures as well as the ini­tial­iz­a­tion of date and inform­a­tion together with inter­faces to infra­struc­ture, human team, tac­tical pro­cesses and other drones. The solu­tion will sup­port effi­cient mis­sion plan­ning and reduced risk in mis­sion exe­cu­tion.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in com­puter sci­ence or sim­ilar
  • Spe­cial­ized know­ledge in one or more of the fol­low­ing fields: com­puter vis­ion, AI, SLAM, ROS, machine learn­ing, robot­ics, HMI, sensor fusion, agent tech­no­lo­gies
  • Excel­lent pro­gram­ming skills: C/C++, Python, ver­sion con­trol, build sys­tem
  • Excel­lent skills in Ger­man lan­guage, both in speak­ing and writ­ing, good com­mand of Eng­lisch
