“Design and operation of sustainable fuel supply chains”
Analysis, (mulitcriteria) modeling and optimization of future supply chains for production of bio-hybrid fuels (i.e., a combination of biofuel and power-to-fuel supply chains)
Development of optimization models of long-term investment decisions and short-term operation
Application of robust optimization methods in order to cope with short and mid-term volatility regarding the supply of biomass and electricity
Analysis and presentation of results at international conferences and within project meetings of the “Fuel Science Center”
Preparation of scientific papers for highly-ranked peer-reviewed journals
You hold a PhD or an University degree (Master or equivalent) in Operations Research, (Industrial) Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Computer science or a comparable field.
Very good expertise in the fields of Operations Management / Operations Research as well as modeling and optimization of processes and supply chains.
Expertise of optimization software and computer languages.
Your work is characterized by initiative, self-motivation, commitment, ability to work in a team, and social skills.
You have very good command of the English language.
An autonomous and structured way of working as well as analytical thinking complete your profile.
What we offer:
The position is held for 2 Jahre and is to be filled as soon as possible. An extension for another 2 years is planned. This is a full-time position.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree.
The salary corresponds to level EG 13 TV-L.
