Research Assist­ant - 0.75 part-time - salary grade E13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len - 1st qual­i­fic­a­tion period (PhD can­did­ate)

Work­ing field:

The pos­i­tion involves col­lab­or­at­ive devel­op­ment of courses, inde­pend­ent organ­iz­a­tion and imple­ment­a­tion of teach­ing exer­cises, espe­cially in the field of tech­no­logy and innov­a­tion man­age­ment, (co-)super­vi­sion of final theses, imple­ment­a­tion of new teach­ing and learn­ing approaches, and lim­ited admin­is­trat­ive tasks. We offer col­lab­or­a­tion oppor­tun­it­ies in empir­ical research pro­jects on tech­no­logy and innov­a­tion man­age­ment and sup­port pre­par­a­tion of a PhD thesis in this sub­ject area. In con­nec­tion with the thesis we encour­age col­lab­or­a­tion with inter­na­tional research insti­tu­tions.
Our research is inter­ested in improv­ing the basic con­cep­tual under­stand­ing of tech­no­logy and innov­a­tion man­age­ment. We favour quant­it­at­ive empir­ical research meth­ods for identi­fy­ing suc­cess­ful man­age­ment prac­tices and engage in act­ive trans­fer of our research res­ults to inter­ested stake­hold­ers. Pos­sible research pro­jects are indi­vidu­ally agreed upon, while secur­ing syn­er­gies with the research pro­gram of the depart­ment.

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted aca­demic stud­ies (dip­loma, mas­ter's degree, or equi­val­ent) in the area of indus­trial engin­eer­ing, busi­ness inform­at­ics, busi­ness math­em­at­ics, eco­nom­ics and law, or sim­ilar. Excel­lent study res­ults are expec­ted.
  • Solid know­ledge in the field of tech­no­logy and innov­a­tion man­age­ment
  • Good under­stand­ing of stand­ard office applic­a­tions
  • High pro­fi­ciency in Ger­man and Eng­lish
  • Exper­i­ence with empir­ical research and good know­ledge of eco­no­met­ric and/or exper­i­mental meth­ods are desired.
  • Interest in the inde­pend­ent exe­cu­tion of research pro­jects in tech­no­logy and innov­a­tion man­age­ment or pro­ject man­age­ment
  • Act­ive team-player and interest in the devel­op­ment of the depart­ment
