The Chair of Transport Systems Planning and Transport Telematics (VSP) deals with modeling and simulation of traffic, evaluation of transport projects, analysis of innovations such as autonomous driving / mobility-as-a-service as well as sustainable design of transport systems. We develop an open-source software for agent-based simulation of traffic systems (www.matsim.org), which we are constantly improving together with a community of international partners according to the latest software standards (Git, Continuous Integration, Cluster Computing, ...).
Further development of multi-agent traffic simulations (www.matsim.org).
Collaboration in research projects related to aforementioned topics.
Collaboration in teaching.
Cooperation with national and international partners.
Successfully completed studies (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or transport with a focus on transport informatics.
Experience in object-oriented software development.
Very good programming skills in Java.
Experience with larger programming projects.
Good English language skills, written and spoken.
Good analytical skills, ability to work in a team.
Additional desirable skills:
Knowledge in terms of the application of the simulation software MATSim.
