Research in the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre 1357 “Mikroplastik”, subproject B04: Particle exchange at the air-water interface
Design, setup, implementation, discussion, presentation, and publication of laboratory experiments at the Chair of Environmental Chemistry and Air Research to determine exchange rates of microplastic particles from water bodies to air as a function of polymer properties
Investigation of the mechanical stress of microplastic particles associated with the water-air transfer process in collaboration with project partners
Close collaboration and coordination with the working group of Prof. Dr. Stephan Gekle (Theoretical Physics, University of Bayreuth) simulating air-water transfer processes
Integration into the structured PhD program “PolyPlan” of the CRC 1357
successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of environmental technology, geoecology, environmental sciences or equivalent
experience with instrumentation for aerosol measurements (e.g. optical particle spectrometer, mobility particle spectrometer) advantageous
experience with computer programming and profound mathematical skills advantageous
very good written and oral language skills in German or English required
