Work­ing field:

  • Research in the frame­work of the Col­lab­or­at­ive Research Centre 1357 “Mik­roplastik”, sub­pro­ject B05: Micro­plastic prop­er­ties in the land sur­face – atmo­sphere sys­tem and com­plex topo­graphy
  • Design, imple­ment­a­tion, dis­cus­sion, present­a­tion, and pub­lic­a­tion of exper­i­ments to quant­it­at­ively describe atmo­spheric trans­port pro­cesses of micro­plastic particles in a wind tun­nel
  • Close col­lab­or­a­tion and coordin­a­tion with the work­ing group of Prof. Dr. Chris­toph Thomas (Micro­met­eor­o­logy, Uni­versity of Bayreuth) car­ry­ing out wind tun­nel exper­i­ments and large eddy sim­u­la­tion stud­ies
  • Integ­ra­tion into the struc­tured PhD pro­gram “Poly­Plan” of the CRC 1357

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the field of envir­on­mental tech­no­logy, geoe­co­logy, envir­on­mental sci­ences or equi­val­ent
  • exper­i­ence with instru­ment­a­tion for aer­o­sol meas­ure­ments (e.g. optical particle spec­tro­meter, mobil­ity particle spec­tro­meter) advant­age­ous
  • out­stand­ing quant­it­at­ive ana­lysis skills required
  • exper­i­ence with com­puter pro­gram­ming and pro­found stat­ist­ical skills advant­age­ous
  • very good writ­ten and oral lan­guage skills in Ger­man or Eng­lish required
